Frequently asked questions
You may already be familiar with life coaching. And you may know a thing or two about ADHD. But what happens when the two come together?Coaching is a natural fit for individuals with ADHD. It’s self-driven, empowering, and adaptable—creating space for the flexibility, curiosity, and individuality that shape the way we think and move through the world.ADHD coaching builds on the transformative principles of life coaching, while bringing in a deeper understanding of how ADHD influences thinking, behaviour, and relationships.ADHD Coaching:provides structure and accountabilitycelebrates and leverages our strengthscreates for self-understanding and trustis forward-focused and practicaltranslates intentions into sustainable actionIn short, it is aligned with how our ADHD brain works.
There’s no shortage of ADHD resources. Books, podcasts, videos, and expert advice are everywhere. With so much available information, why choose ADHD coaching? For most people with ADHD, the challenge isn’t a lack of information. It’s something deeper. There are three key reasons why ADHD Coaching is so effective:1. You already know what to doThe real issue isn’t knowledge. It’s implementation. As Dr. Russell Barkley famously said, "ADHD is not a problem of knowing what to do, but of doing what you know."--> Let's guide you from intention to action.2. You don’t need more adviceIf there’s one thing most people with ADHD dislike, it’s being told what to do. When ideas don’t come from within, they’re often met with resistance and simply don’t stick.--> Let's discover what works for you.3. You may undervalue yourself and second-guess your instinctsLiving with ADHD can lead to self-doubt: questioning your decisions and overlooking your strengths.--> Let's develop your self-trust to take action without overthinking.Coaching creates time and space for exploration. Together, we'll start from where you are, make sense of what’s already within you, and turn that understanding into meaningful, lasting change.
Coaching sessions take place virtually from anywhere in the world, in English or French.Sessions are typically weekly or bi-weekly and last 45 minutes, but can be adapted to your needs. After an initial exploration of your strengths and intentions, you will be in charge of the direction we take together. Each session is guided by the topic you have chosen to explore on that day. As coaching is forward-thinking and action-oriented, at the end of each session, you will walk away with a new understanding or action that you can immediately apply to your daily life.
We work on whatever is getting in the way. Each coaching relationship is different and tailored to your needs and goals.Coaching topics often include:Understanding how your brain worksIdentifying and celebrating your strengthsConfidence, self-esteem, and motivationEmotional overwhelm and frustrationFocus, attention, and distractionsTime management and planningProcrastination and task initiationSchool demands and academic stressIndependence and responsibility
I bring together three complementary areas of expertise: education, ADHD coaching, and executive functioning.I hold a Master of Education (M.Ed.) and am a licensed elementary educator in the state of New Jersey. For more than 15 years, I've taught in IB/PYP international schools in Switzerland, supporting students with diverse learning profiles and partnering closely with families and educators. I currently serve as a Student Support Teacher, where I work with students, teachers, and families to strengthen executive functioning and help neurodivergent learners thrive.I am a trained ADHD Coach through the ADD Coach Academy (ADDCA), one of the leading ADHD coach training programs. ADDCA is accredited by both the Professional Association for ADHD Coaches (PAAC) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF), and its curriculum integrates internationally recognized coaching competencies with evidence-based approaches specific to ADHD. I have also completed the ADHD Certified Educator (ADHD-CE) program and continue to deepen my knowledge through advanced study in executive functioning, neurodiversity, and family coaching through supervisions and ongoing professional development.Alongside my professional training, I also bring lived experience. As an adult with ADHD, a parent of a child with ADHD, and someone who has seen ADHD across generations and learning environments, I understand both the research and the real-life challenges. My coaching combines evidence-based strategies, practical tools, and genuine understanding to help clients create meaningful, lasting change.
No. Coaching can be helpful with or without a formal diagnosis.
Coaching is practical and forward-focused. It builds skills and strategies rather than exploring past experiences. Many people find coaching especially helpful alongside therapy. Coaching is not a substitute for therapy.
It all depends on the client. In general, count on 3-6 months to make lasting change, while certain clients benefit from longer-term support. You should start to experience a noticeable shift within the first month or so.
